Carnival Cruise Lines

Projects: Carnival Cruise Line’s new Mardi Gras ship is the lead vessel in the company’s Excel Class. Measuring 1,130 feet in length and carrying 6,500 passengers. Lightning strikes at sea can be devastating to a cruise ship and can disable communications, navigation and other essential electronics. Carnival chose two CMCE 120s to prevent direct lightning strikes while at sea and in port. One CMCE device is on the bridge and the other is located on the aft deck.
Carnival Cruise Line’s Valor is a Conquest Class 952 foot ship that can hold 2,974 passengers. A single CMCE 120 was mounted on the tower above the bridge to protect essential electronics.
